Class of 1970
Linda Deis

For the past 40 years, I have lived a very full and fulfilling life. After graduation I returned home and enrolled in graduate school at Trenton State College, earning a MEd. in Music Education. For the past 38 years I’ve enjoyed teaching middle school vocal music in the Council Rock School District in Bucks County, PA. Retirement? Maybe in 2 more years.
Much of my life revolves around the performing arts. I love going to the opera in New York and the orchestra in Philadelphia. Singing continues to be a passion of mine. For years I performed with The Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia but have had to put that activity on the back burner because of other commitments. 9 years ago I became involved with a newly formed boychoir, the Keystone State Boychoir. I serve on its Board of Directors and have enjoyed traveling with them on their international concert tours. This year we traveled to Chile and Antarctica, making us the first choir in history to have performed on all 7 continents. In addition to my M.Ed., I also earned an M.S. in Arts Administration from Drexel University.
Other activities I enjoy are Phillies baseball, the shore, cooking, reading and community service. I look forward to renewing old friendships in May.
